Over the coming years, we face an ageing population, a rise in long-term conditions, and a changing workforce. We need to find new ways of working, so we can continue to do our best for the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.
The Ministry of Health is keen to get your thoughts and opinions on a variety of issues.
Collectively sharing our stories will help ensure we are doing our best for the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders into the future.
We've set up a series of discussion pages, based around the five themes of the New Zealand Health Strategy, to help you share your story.
This document sets out a draft strategy for the health and wellbeing of older people for the next 10 years. Its vision is that older people live well, age well, and have a respectful end of life in age-friendly communities. The document proposes a set of actions for delivery in the first two years, and for the longer term.
